WILLIAM N. "BILL" HODGES is President of Hodges Seminars, a business and communications consulting firm that develops sales meetings, management training programs, and human relations seminars. His seminars have been attended by personnel from many government agencies, Fortune 500 companies, and major associations in the United States and Canada, including Mead, NCR, AT&T, IBM, General Motors, British Petroleum, and Tenex Canada.
Experienced in media as well as live audience communications, Bill Hodges hosts his own business interview and public affairs television program, and has had a radio talk show. In an easy-to-understand style, Bill has authored many articles, including a syndicated column. He currently writes a highly positive, motivational column entitled "POSI-TALK." This column is distributed worldwide through newspapers, corporate newsletters, and association magazines to as many as 1.5 million readers per month. Bill is a published author. His book, Within Your Reach , has helped many people achieve their dreams.
As an adjunct professor at Edison State College, Bill has capitalized on the opportunity to study and present the newest educational theories in the field of human communications. He has brought real world experience to the classroom.
Bill is also professionally active. He is a member of Toastmasters International, president of the Professional Speakers Guild, and served as a board member for the Western Ohio Chapter of the American Society for Training and Development. He has served as President of the Miami Valley Toastmasters, and Toastmasters’ District Governor for a four-state area, and has earned Toastmasters' highest award of Distinguished Toastmaster. He was a two-term board member of Hospice of Dayton, president of the Dayton Sales and Marketing Executives, and co-founder and president of a three state Chapter of Meeting Professionals International, in addition he was a two-term member of the parent organizations International Board of Directors. Since moving his company to Florida in 1999 he has become an active member of the Tampa Chamber of Commerce and serves on the Past District Governor Council in Florida for District 47 of Toastmasters International.
