Wendy Young, LMSW, BCD, is an award-winning child and family therapist. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Michigan State University's School of Clinical Social Work. Her writing has appeared in Chicken Soup for the Soul, Family Fun Magazine, Woman's World, The Next Step Magazine, WonderYears, The Master Teacher, and various newspapers. Wendy is the author of several children's workbooks and resources to assist children in dealing with difficult situations. She is a contributing author to two character education books. Wendy is the mental health consultant to various early childhood programs, including several Head Start and Early Head Start sites. She provides trainings to parents, educators and administrators regarding the issues that most impact kids. Her areas of expertise include managing intense and challenging children, grief and loss, childhood anxiety, moving/relocation, self-esteem, maternal/infant health and trauma. Wendy hopes to help kids (and the big people that care about them) deal with problems before they get larger than life.
