For over 20 years I was a successful General Contractor in Florida. Business was good, most years I was turning work away. Life was good too. Then the recession came visiting, I held out for two years before finally succumbing to the inevitable day that I had to close my doors. At 46 years old, I was too young to retire, but there were no opportunities in my field of construction, so I had to make a change. I decided it was time to become an ecommerce merchant. I studied, I burned the midnight oil, and I forged ahead. I now own and operate two successful freestanding websites, and I am enjoying what I am doing. Life is good once again.
I made a serious career change in my late 40's, and you can too. It is never too late!
