My name is Tim Holland and I am a relationships advice expert. I use this term lightly in that experts are not always right and nowhere near perfect. I am not here to be right or perfect. I am here to give and accept advice.
I am a 44 year old, single Christian male. I believe that people should use common sense and above all else do the right thing. I try to use these guidelines when writing for my website 'The Help With Dating and Relationships Site.' On it I give advice to men and women on how to handle the ups and downs of relationships. I also use the site to share some of my experiences in dating and relationships.
Though I have never been married, I have experienced most of the ups and downs everyone else has in relationships. And I have observed many others. As the seventh of eight siblings I have had no choice but to live and learn from experiences of my own and others. I grew up during a time when adults did not show much affection for each other and have seen relationships evolve and change over a thirty year period.
I have also learned from listening to others who have been in relationships. Everyone has a story to tell. Many are willing to tell it. If you listen with an open mind then you can learn a lot and use this knowledge to help others.
As a Christian I try to stay away from anything racy on my site and in my writings. I do believe that sexuality is a part of relationships, but avoid it in order to keep my site as morally based as possible.
Before creating my dating and relationships website I was (and still am) a freelance sports writer and author. I published my first book 'Sports Talk Radio is a Waste of Time (And so is this Book)' in October of 2010. It is a common sense look at the world of sports, how it has changed and where it is going, through my perspective as a player, coach, and fan for 40 years. I currently have a sports website called 'Sportscommonsense.com.' I have written sports blogs since 2003 and have gotten positive feedback from many members in sports media.
I am currently in the process of developing a motivational video project called 'How do you know if you don't try?' The premise is to present stories of famous people and what they had to overcome to become successful. Then relate it to the viewer by asking 'How do you know if you don't try?' The videos are open to everyone, but my main target is young people who are unsure of what they want to do in life. To motivate them so that they will get out there and try.
I came to Selfgrowth.com to help people imrpove their lives and to learn from others. To me the only reason why we should do anything on earth is to glorify God and help others. If I can help one person to find fullfillment in love and relationships and motivate one person to get out and try then that is enough for me.
If you can, help others; if you cannot do that, at least do not harm them.
