Sylvia is a published poet, a co-author along with two Maximum Life Coaches, on a book about “Living with Chronic Illness,” has also written 29 aritcles as the feature writer on Chronic Illness for http://www.suite101.com/ and several articles for www.bellaonline.com News for Kids site Besides working as a freelance writer, Sylvia still finds time for two other passions of hers they are to volunteer as a literacy tutor for her local Learning Centre and assist in facilitating at workshops on disablitiy awareness. Her main focus is to write books for young adults who have learning challenges and children with chronic illnesses. She feels there is so much out there for healthy children, that to provide interesting books, newsletters etc. for children confined to home or bed is really needed.
At present Sylvia is retired, but working full time as a freelance writer, writing articles on alternative health and lifestyle also articles on chronic illness. She has recently started a daily blog and a newsletter for children called Professor Owl's Book Corner. She is also planning an e-Book for parents of children with special needs gving them information on getting their child ready to return to school in the fall.
