Sydney Cresci is an impressive traveler herself. She is multi-lingual and a knowledgeable expert in world travel. Cresci is founder of Make a Change Personal Discovery Journeys, establishing her business in 2006 and based from northern California, (U.S.). Her "citizen of the world" approach to travel accounts for 25 years of experience managing elaborate journeys across the globe and throughout: Scandinavia, Russia, Italy, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Greece, Turkey, France, Croatia, Australia, China, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Morocco, North Africa, Great Britain, Ireland, the Caribbean, Bermuda, Mexico, Canada, all major areas of the United States, including Hawaii and Alaska.
Sydney originated in this field working closely with a diverse range of business clients and incentive companies, including American and European special interest and sports groups.
She found the exotic waters of the world and yacht travel to be exhilarating, if not inspirational to most of her clients. As she recounts, “Travel can expand your personal universe. You become more open and accessible to new ideas". Cresci observes her clients making quantum leaps, opening to more positive change at sea as the senses become calmer yet more acute. As she concludes,"It was time I followed my dream and created the perfect mix of luxury yachting and transformation teachings.”
Sydney Cresci’s vision to design empowering, life-changing journeys at sea was destined in part, based on her travel experiences starting from an early age in Europe.
Sydney first crossed “the pond” as a baby when her mother moved to London to join her father who was stationed as a Naval Attaché for the American Embassy. In her early childhood, her family embraced frequent change traveling and living in Maryland, Washington, D.C., California and Florida then ending up back to Europe where their lifestyle shifted from land to water. In elementary school, her family lived on a sailboat on Elba, an island in the Mediterranean Sea. She later completed boarding school in Bavaria, moved to an island in the Stockholm Archipelago before moving to Stockholm for 10 years. In 1975, she relocated to the United States and made her home in northern California. Today, Sydney lives with her husband and teenage son between Marin County, outside San Francisco, and in New York City. In 2001, the Crescis took a family sabatical to live in Rome, Italy, perfecting their son's language skills, and experiencing life in a different country.
“Personally and professionally, I have found that travel inevitably creates exciting and positive change. I know so many individuals who have expanded their outer horizon along with their inner selves. It's exhilarating!” Sydney concludes.
