Rone de Beauvoir is a modern-day Renaissance woman, with success as an author, chef, relationship expert/coach, international speaker and independent filmmaker. She's lived in 22 countries, including Singapore, Hong Kong, China, Japan, Indonesia, and Malaysia. She was born to be a star and she knew it from a young age. The oldest of five chidren, Rone was raised to be confident in herself and her own dreams. Though she was born with raw talent, Rone tirelessly practiced her vocals, both in front of the mirror as a child and later in the choir of her father's church.
Once when her father left a large church to start another church, Rone's hopes of headlining the choir at the larger church was dashed by the beautiful voice of Jennifer Holiday. The two girls became friends practicing vocals ranges and piano after the church service. Holiday was discovered soon after and went onto Broadway. Rone would find stardom as well; it just took her a little longer.
After enduring a string of demos and rejections, Rone gained favor with Executive Producer David Porter, who signed her to her first five-year Recording Contract Stax /Fantasy Records for . She recorded her first solo album and had a hit single entitled 'Touch Me Up," which later reached the Billboard charts.
After a few years in the music industry, Rone began exploring different career options. Some of her jobs included working as a radio host sales executive for a television/cable network, modeling, acting and owning a few businesses.
After three years, and graduating at HMI Institute for Psychology and Hypnotherapy, Rone began to travel abroad. She continued her higher studies by correspondence and in doing so was encouraged to become a public speaker by her mentor Dottie Walters. After several months of coaching, Rone began writing small short run books and presenting her seminars to bureaus for speakers. She became a very popular speaker in various parts of the world. As if she wasn't already maximizing her time and education, when not conducting seminars in different countries around Asia, Rone was producing and directing documentary films.
It was during this period of international travel that Rone discovered she had another passion....Food! Having worked and lived in 22 different countries, she was learning about different foods and their affects on life love and relationships.
Rone quickly enrolled in Cordon Bleu after studying brief courses in other culinary schools in Asia to become an Executive Chef, and earned a degree in Catering Event Management and Hospitality Service.
Today Rone is an accomplished entrepreneur and philanthropist. She is the chef and owner of Catering by Rone, a catering/event management firm with facilities in Europe and the United States, and host of her own television show "Swing In the Kitchen with Rone de Beauvoir."
She is founder and CEO of the KIDCan Foundation, which provides free flight support on private jet aircraft to kids with cancer and other very ill children, with one or both their parents no matter where they live in the world, to a medical facility for treatment.
As a filmmaker she received her first Oscar (Guirlande d' Honneur) which she produced, directed and edited. She is currently completing a new documentary feature film entitled "The Sacrificed" to be released early in 2009.
Rone has written a few books, two of which are:
It's Only Dinner: Dining for Love Romance and Relationships
and Decadent Meals and Desserts: How to Conjure Up Love with Aphrodisiacs.
She lives in Paris France and continues to travel extensively around the world providing destination catering services, and her Swing In the Kitchen Cooking Classes in her Paris studio for Americans to experience French way of life and cuisine.
