Paul Sutherland was born on 5th January 1963, in the City of Edinburgh. He spent much of his early working life in sales and marketing, mostly in the travel and automotive industries. It was whilst working on an American Airbase in Germany that he met his partner Joanne, mother of his two boys, Daniel and Christopher. They spent almost seven years together before Joanne contracted cancer and died in November 2003. It was then, that he began his quest, in looking for more meaning to life and his spiritual adventure began.
" You are always a valuable, worthwhile human being -- not because anybody says so, not because you're successful, not because you make a lot of money -- but because you decide to believe it and for no other reason." ~ Dr. Wayne Dyer ~ "You must not let your life run in the ordinary way; do something that nobody else has done, something that will dazzle the world. Show that God's creative principle works in you." ~ Paramahansa Yogananda ~ "Throughout the centuries there were men who took first steps, down new roads, armed with nothing but their own vision" ~ Ayn Rand ~
For many years I have wandered through life in an almost aimless manner. Yes, you read that right; I did say an almost aimless manner. What do I mean by that you might ask? Am I saying that I have wasted my life up until this point? Not exactly, but let’s say that my life hasn’t been all that it might have been. I guess you could say that I have faced many of the same challenges as most people do travelling through this magnificent adventure. Like most everyone else I have lived my life in a predominantly linear manner. I mean I have always tried to figure everything out with brain power, willpower or mind power. The truth is that there is no real power in any of these. Sure we can logically reason and make decisions based on the information we receive through our brain or mind. The trouble with that is the information is filtered and based on beliefs or what we already know. Sometimes these filters are defective or fear based and the information we get can be faulty or incomplete. Since writing “Orion & The Wildcat” I have found that my perspectives have changed or are beginning to change. I now believe that we should not be thinking with our minds but following our hearts instead. Here is why: In the book you’ll discover the consequences I faced as I allowed my EGO and fears to be the basis for almost all the decisions I made. See for yourself the timeless wisdom that was being presented to me that was largely ignored. I also reveal the disastrous situations I found myself in due to the blind faith I had in logic and reason. Are you following in my footsteps? Pause for just a minute and ask yourself this question. Am I truly where I want to be and do I have all that I want from life? Unless you have fulfilled all of your deepest desires and you are following your true life’s purpose then your likely answer is no. I discovered that unless I changed my thinking to be more heart based than head based, I would continue to get the same ordinary results and outcomes. So my real question to you is this: Why have an ordinary life when you can have one that is extraordinary by following your HEART?
If you need me, the Universe or your spirit guides will bring you to me... ;-)
