Career Focus: Creativity Coach, Heartwork Facilitator, Inventor/EntrepreneurBorn into a Family of Artists and inventors extending back generations, Monica Yocom has had exposure to the creative process from a very young age. After analyzing the skills and abilities of both the creative minds around her and of the great innovators of history, she has come up with a teaching method that show others how to bring more creativity to their own lives. Monica's process strengthens intuition, removes blockages to the creative process and offers easy steps and tools that build the creative approach into a lifelong and automatic situational response.
In understading the relevance of creativity in a number of different applications, Monica Yocom is the creator of a therapeutic method that combines both Art Therapy and Biofeedback techniques in a method called HeartWork. This process is Facilitated by professional Artists working in their field and consists of a method of translation of a clients verbalized emotion into Artistic medium. Each Facilitator uses their chosen medium of expression whether through sculpture, painting, illustration or otherwise and the finished piece is analyzed with the client as an active participant in the analysis.
We see the Heartwork process as a strong up and coming trend as it is the ideal theraputic method for a generation moving toward methods that incorporate a more spiritual/intuitive approach. Heartwork travels right to the core of a clients emotions, literally painting a picture of their stressors/ blockages and phobias while still maintaining an objectivity that is uninvasive and therefore highly assimilable.
An award winning Artist and inventor herself, Monica Yocom is also the creator of a number of products which are powerful tools in supporting the creative process.
