Marianne Kelly enjoys working with individuals of all ages. She conveys a genuine, compassionate and nuturing environment. In addition, she recognizes that her personal as well as educational experiences contribute to her successful work with clients.
Marianne is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She completed her undergraduate work at University of Cincinnati and her graduate work at Loyola University. Her early clinical experience includes working in an alcohol and drug recovery center, a day treatment program for the chronically mentally ill, and a family community counseling center. In addition, she spent four years at Maryville Academy working with adolescents in a residential treatment facility. In the last six years she has been working in a private practice setting. While in a private practice setting she has expanded her education, becoming certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy which is used for the treatment of trauma, anxiety, panic attacks, and phobias as well as other life issues. Marianne also continues to expand her knowledge and application of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which studies have shown to be one of the most effective therapies that offers quicker resolution.
Marianne's therapeutic approaches include family systems, brief therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused therapy, EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing), psycho educational, mindfulness/relaxation/visualization exercises, and insight oriented. Her specialties include post traumatic stress disorder, phobias, panic attacks, generalized anxiety, depression, relationship issues, grief and loss, life transitions, and crisis interventions.
