As a Natural Health and Lifestyle Counselor, I draw on a lifetime commitment to natural health, fitness, holistic living and spiritual truth, as well as an extensive career in the natural products industry.
I am passionate about a lot of things. Chief among them is my belief that natural wellness is a process that honors each individual as a unique multifaceted being - capable of taking responsibility for decisions about their body, mind, and spirit.
In that light, it is my job to help you find and use the wellness practices that are best for you. This is an opportunity for you to look deeply into what you want your life to be. Nutrition, exercise, and inner alignment are all part of feeling your best; but you are the primary authority, and the wellness path that we design will be unique to you.
I've recently published the Abundant Nutrition Cleanse Handbook, a simple guide to internal cleansing based on healthy eating, which is available for download at CompassionateWellness.com, where you can also find more info about wellness counseling as well as free articles and health tips. On a fitness note, I write extensively about Pilates for my Pilates website at pilates.about.com.
Some notes on education:Currently completing a Masters Degree in Holistic Nutrition. I have a BA in Dance and Movement Arts from the Naropa University where I also did graduate study in Buddhist psychology. I am a certified group exercise instructor and Pilates mat instructor as well as being certified in hypnotherapy and movement therapy.
From Marguerite:
"When we begin with compassion for ourselves, we draw from the real source of positive change."
"Compassionate Wellness begins when we turn our attention inward, and open ourselves to the possibility that health is best experienced and expressed through peace."
Be sure to check out my website at compassionatewellness.com. There you will find information about the holistic health counseling that I offer as well as info on my new, Abundant Nutrition Cleanse Handbook.
I also write about Pilates for About.com. I have published hundreds of pages of information about Pilates, including free exercise instructions, at pilates.about.com.
