Kitty Boitnott, Ph.D., NBCT
Heart-Centered Career Transition and Job Search Coach to Burnt-Out Teachers Who Are Ready for a Career Change
Kitty Boitnott, Ph.D., NBCT, RScP is the founder of Boitnott Coaching, LLC and TeachersInTransition.com. Kitty offers professional and personal coaching services to teachers who are burnt-out and ready to leave the teaching profession for a new career.
Kitty created Boitnott Coaching, LLC because she is keenly aware of the fact that teachers in the United States—in every state in the nation—are feeling bombarded by adverse circumstances. They are dealing with stagnant salaries, and many are working in deteriorating environments. They are tired of struggling with diminishing respect in the community and their students.
Kitty also recognizes that about 50% of the current education workforce is fast approaching retirement age and yet they are not going to want to quit working, so they need to consider how to re-tool and reinvent themselves professionally for the next phase of their lives.
Kitty is a former teacher and educational leader with over 30 years in the classroom as a teacher and library media specialist. She has always committed herself to the highest professional standards. Her accomplishments include having earned two Master’s degrees and a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership in addition to having achieved National Board Certification in Library Media.
In addition to her academic achievements, Kitty is a Certified Life Strategies and Stress Management Coach with additional certifications in Holistic Life Coaching and Sleep Science Coaching. She is also a Licensed Science of Mind Practitioner and Minister. You can learn more about her by perusing her website which can be found at https://teachersintranssition.com.
Kitty lives in the Richmond, Virginia area less than two hours from Washington, DC with her longhaired dachshund, Bernie.
Kitty is a member of the National Speakers Association of Virginia and is a Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM) in Toastmasters International.

WHAT I DO:
For the teacher who has already hit the point of burnout, I offer career transition and job search assistance. Talented teachers have many other career alternatives available to them that they may not know how to explore on their own.
I also offer training on stress management for teachers. Helping teachers learn how to manage stress may help them avoid job burnout. If they do that, they will stay in the profession longer.
WHAT MAKES ME DIFFERENT:
I enjoyed a long and fulfilling career as a public school educator. I am a National Board Certified Teacher. I understand teachers. I know what makes them tick. I know the struggle they face when they start to consider leaving. It is an internal battle that often leaves them unhappy and stuck...sometimes for years.
