Kerrith H. (Kerry) King, 86, is the founder and president of Community Communications a 501(c)(3) nonprofit educational organization. Kerry has been a leadership-relationship communication-skills coach/consultant in Hawaii for forty-four years. He has consulted for such clients as Mike McCormack Realtors (formerly Hawaii's largest realtor), Hobart Corp., Budar Advertising, the president of Pacific Construction (builders of the Ala Moana Shopping Center), R. M. Towill Corp. (builders of the Honolulu Airport), U.S. Postal Service—Oahu, the chief psychiatrist of Leahi Hospital, Hawaii Child Care Centers (a school system), the Director of the State Department of Health—Big Isle, the manager of John Hancock Life Insurance of Hawaii—Oahu, many educators, attorneys, doctors, dentists and thousands more. Kerry has taught part-time for the University of Hawaii's Speech/Communication Department on the Manoa and Hilo campuses as well as for the distinguished JAIMS (Japanese-American Institute of Management Science). Prior to becoming a consultant Kerry was a career military officer. He served as an enlisted man in the Navy on submarines and then with UDT-21 (Underwater Demolition Team - Class #20) now called SEALs. He left the Navy to go to college and through the R.O.T.C. was awarded a Regular Army Commission. He served two tours in Vietnam, both as an Infantry Platoon Leader (173'rd Airborne), and as an Infantry Company Commander (82'nd Airborne). A gunshot wound ended his military career. He has two bronze stars (one for valor) and two purple hearts.
After consulting and teaching on Oahu for thirteen years, Kerry retired to the Big Isle. In 1988 he donated an Organization Communication Workshop to the "East Hawaii Coalition to Stop Food Irradiation." That one workshop evolved into what's now called Community Communications (ComCom), a nonprofit, 501(c)(3), educational organization. The political activists of the Big Isle were responsible for enrolling more than 1000 participants into the Communication-Skills Workshop for Community Leaders, a.k.a., Introduction to Leadership Communication-Skills Workshop.
Kerry's military training experiences represent proven educational processes having to do with teamwork and excellence. He has integrated these various leadership-communication models with what is currently being taught in the fields of human potential and speech/communication. Ninety-five percent of the critiques written by ComCom's workshop participants report favorably. Most participants say it transforms their experience of communication. Kerry also does free individual, couples, and small-group three-hour Communication Consultations/Coaching. For a free three-hour communication-skills consult appointment (in person, by telephone or Skype) go here http://www.comcom121.org/consult.htm.

"All relationships that fail have one thing in common; both partners withheld a thought from the other at the very beginning. There are no exceptions to this entanglement phenomenon. "Fail" here meaning, to recess from each other with blaming anger and resentments in the space. "Until one cleans up life's perpetrations, all communication breakdowns (to include broken agreements) are influenced by one's integrity. Once one's integrity has been restored then a broken agreement is solely a communication problem, not a communication and/or an integrity problem."
The Clearing Process: "Arrogance is thinking you can create and sustain the experience of love, prosperity, health, and happiness without cleaning up your childhood lies and deceits." Not to worry: Your integrity will support you in crashing and burning (bottoming-out, losing what's presently most important—usually when you get everything going nicely) so as to give you an opportunity to restore your integrtiy.
Cheating: "Hidden under the reasons is the truth of what the cheating was about—it's never ever what either partner say was his/her reason."
Quote for teen boys: "Conning a girl into having sex knowing full well it would upset her father is not smart karmic-wise. Having sex with a girl who would deceive her own loving parents is a predictor of future deceits."
Quote for teen girls: "Conning a boy into repeatedly asking for sex is unethical. A "No" communicated gets gotten and transforms the relationship. A no "said" but not meant is a lie. A lie (or deceit between you and your parents) leaves you open to unwanted consequences such as an "accidental" pregnancy."
Parenting Communication Tip: Children, especially babies, are extremely susceptible to the vibrations of any withhold or verbally unacknowledged out-integrity between parents. Not unlike a magnet next to a compass, the child has no choice but to go off course (to cry, act up, misbehave, get sick) as a means of creating/recreating an experience of integrity, of being whole and complete. "Out-integrity" meaning, a lie, a deceit, a thought being withheld, an unacknowledged abuse, (condescension, yelling, put-down, etc.) is in the space.
Spanking: "Spanking is what a parent resorts to when he/she has lost their ability to produce a desired behavior lovingly through verbal communication."
Yelling: Yelling always always reveals that the yeller has another incident for which they remain incomplete. What a person yells about is seldom what they say it's about. The majority of raised voice incidents in a relationship are about earlier and similar incidents (mostly childhood) that remain incomplete, communications that were not mutually satisfying."
