Well-Known East Coast Professional Artist and Nations League of American Pen Women, KMHammond is my Mother. I have been privileged all my life of seeing my Mother paint. In 1994 I became my Mothers Art Manager. Since then we have experienced a lot of ups and downs dealing with health issues. In 1998 I broke both my elbows and my back in the same accident. In 1996 a House Fire devoured 32 of my Mothers original paintings that were displayed in my house Art Gallery. Then in 1991 my Dad died. I saw him at 4pm and by 10pm, 6 hours later, he suddenly died. Having been blinded at age 12 in her left eye, Blindness creped in to Mothers right eye in 2003, leaving her legally blind for 4 years. After having a highly recommended confident Eye Specialist who would take the risk, operated on her right eye, she now sees 20/20 in her right eye, with eyeglasses and paints on a daily basis. I am Joyce Lewis, Lecturer, for the KMHAMMOND ART STUDIO, which introduces live painting sessions by KMHammond on DVD demonstrating the style that has lead to a satisfying and successful career of being an Artist who sells only Original paintings for over 50 years. In each of the 4 set DVD sessions, a live demonstration of Hammond painting shows you how the painting was created and what the steps were in achieving the desired results when dealing with choosing your paints, mixing colors, placement of the composition on your canvas/paper, how colors create mood, where is the correct place to start a painting and becoming the expert in your own style and talent as an Artist. The 4 DVDs offered in this series have one medium and one painting explained as Hammond paints the painting and you virtually paint along with her.
