A series of what are referred to as mystical experiences (out of the ordinary) called for a need to seek for their cause. In 1975 at 25 years of age and while serving a ten year prison sentence for robbery, that search led to a complete turn around.
Career criminality was abandoned and tearchers and groups were sought. For seven years after being released from prison, there was a weekly attendance to The Gurdjieff Society of Illinois.Gurdjieff and writtings by one of his students, (Peter Ouspensky) were (along with Ram Dass) the first literary points of referrence that served to provide some degree of 'information.'
Later, many books were studied and many became favorites. Among them included teachers like Dr. David R Hawkins, Gary R. Renard, and
A Course in Miracles. Spirit Light Outreach was formed to share these teachings with people, like prisoners, who are unable to access them any other way.
