With over 25 years of human and healthcare service, employee assistance and work/life experience, the formation of Caregiver’s Resource Inc. (CRI) was based on the founder, John L. Webb, Jr.’s work as a Master’s level medical social worker in home health care and discharge planning. John’s role was to assist with planning discharge of a patient to home and/or an intermediate care facilities as well as provide guidance and information about community resources such as home health care, transportation, financial and legal services, counseling etc.
As John counseled these patients and family members who were anxious and unprepared for managing the circumstances and impact of a sudden illness, it was a “heart-felt” response to find a way to empower them with solution oriented information and guidance to navigate the maze of decision-making to care for aging family member which led to the creation of the Caregiver's Resource Helpline™.
What is the Caregiver's Resource Helpline™
The Caregiver’s Resource Helpline™ enables businesses to advertise product and/or services in its Directory of Resource and Services. People call toll-free for answers to the most common concerns of caring for an aging family member and seamlessly connect with the businesses listed in the Directory. Operation of the service is underwritten by sponsors and advertisers eager to reach this growing population.
The targets for this advertising opportunity are businesses offering products and/or services meeting the needs of an aging society. With over 50 million people involved in the care of a chronically ill, disabled or aged family member or friend during any given year, businesses and service providers like adult day care, assisted living facilities, eldercare attorneys, long-term care insurance, home health agencies etc. are poised to take advantage of these sales leads.
The Directory fills the need for these businesses to cost-effectively target their message with up to a 30 second commercial spot to pre-qualify and generate sales leads with measurable results. The toll-free number is promoted to provide easy access to “live” consultation and 32 listening Topics of Interest dealing with the most common concerns of caregivers.
Promoting the Helpline in any Standard Metropolitan Statistical Area would compete against traditional broadcast advertising media i.e. newspaper, radio, Cable/TV, Internet etc. for businesses to list in the Directory. Listing in the Directory offers a clear, competitive and narrowcast advantage. Narrowcasting reaches a smaller audience than traditional mass media; the audience reached is more likely to be predisposed toward purchase of the advertised product or service. Consequently, narrowcasting can be very efficient, particularly when advertising budgets are limited
A listing in the Directory enables a business to promote a 30 second commercial spot. Before and after hearing a Topic of Interest, callers are prompted to dial the Directory for a related product or service. Caller select a category and listens to up to 3 listed advertisers and choose to "direct-connect" or leave a message for a return call from an advertiser's representative. Automatically, the advertiser receives email notification of the message.
