Jessica has been studying various aspects of alternative medicine for almost ten years. Her family introduced her to oriental medicine, meditation and yoga. From that start she persued, through both self directed study and workshops, energetic healing, shamanic healing, stress coping techniques and various methods of divination. In 2004 she graduated from the Academy of Massage Therapy, in Englewood, NJ; and is now a Nationally Certified Therapeutic Massage and Bodyworker.
Jessica believes very strongly in the philosophy of holistic healing, and in 2006 combined her learning with that philosophy to create Healing Hands for a Healthy Life, a private practice based in Bloomingdale, NJ. In 2007 Jessica partnered with Christopher Cina, a specialist in metaphysical studies, to recreate Healing Hands as The Wave's Eternal Path: Holistic Healing and Metaphysical Center. Recently, The Wave's Eternal Path relocated to Bethlehem, PA. Workshops and services are still being offered in NJ.
Jessica is currently investigating what her next focus of study will be, and hopes to add both herbalism and aromatherapy to her services within the next few years.
In her spare time, Jessica is working on a book manuscript describing and defining the energetic sense and its perceptions.
Know Thyself:
In the end, this is what healing comes down to. If you do not understand your mind, you can not address mental illness. If you do not know how your body works, you do not know how to eat nutritionally, how to protect yourself from injury or illness. If you do not how the mind and body and spirit interrelate, you cannot prevent an injury to one from crippling all three. Professionals will always be necessary, not everyone can be brain surgeon, or massage therapist, or naturopath (never mind all three!). But it is the individuals responcibility to know themself well enough to take charge of their own wellbeing, and own healing. Few things would please me more then to see the medical community (alternative and conventional) halved because we were no longer needed in such numbers. Because the patient can be the healer.
Know thyself.
