Jeff Backer Jr. grew up in a small town and has always had a drive for being an entrepreneur. Spending most of his free time in study, he attended and completed college with a Chemistry ACS Major with an emphasis to Pre-Med and also a BS in Public Administration. Jeff also furthered his study with several different Public and Private Mentors with a continued desire for successful entrepreneurship in helping others.
In 1990, Jeff developed and began his own family business with his twin brother using his Chemistry degree and his Public Administrative knowledge. After a short time of starting the business, the company was asked to do a 10 segment TV show featured on National PBS on proper storage of antique cars and trucks. The company and its products have also been featured in over 495 publications and newspapers. Jeff has also been interviewed numerous times on several different news broadcasts. As the company grew Jeff and his brother realized the importance of family time and involvement and began to shift their company to a family based organization promoting stronger family values and promoting more quality products for families to enjoy together with a lower budget. The company now employs over 14 employees and several independant contractors who have a wide variety of knowledge.
Jeff, his company, and his employees are all based on a Christian Foundation. The company is active in contributions to several Christian Organizations. The company has also donated several times to the "Make A Wish Foundation" for needy children. Also they made a contribution to a family for ABC's Popular Series "Extreme Makeover Home Addition."
Jeff is actively involved with the Browns Valley Ambulance Service, having served as a volunteer Emergency Medical Technician for over 12 years. In 2002 the community EMT Service was awarded the National Leo R Schwartz Award, BLS Emergency Medical Service of the year.
Jeff is also the Mayor of Browns Valley, MN and has been involved with projects to increase growth and develop better means for families and the community. In 2007, Jeff worked with key city personnel, also with State and National Elected Officials and Government Agencies to help overcome one of the worst flooding incidents the city ever faced. Jeff is also currently active with the Lions Club, his Church, surrounding Churches and other local organizations.
As a real estate entrepreneur, Jeff and his team have helped several families with children become home owners in the Sioux Falls, SD area.
Jeff has been happily married for nearly 14 years and has one daughter. His hobbies include running, reading and spending quality time with his family.
