Crikey, hello everyone, I am a tour operator based in Perth Western Australia. My company (Crikey Adventure Tours www.crikey-adventure-tours.com) has been conducting tours for the last four years from Perth. Prior to this I spent most of my holiday life (when I was able to get away from work) travelling extensively around Australia. This was with my four children, who have all inherited my love of the outdoors.
Some of the places we conduct our tours to require many people to physically and mentally challenge themselves to a minor extent depending on their fitness level. I help them; bribe them; threaten them; encourage them; etc to overcome these minor challenges and the reward I receive is the pure look of self satisfaction on the faces once they achieve the end of our particular activity.
I love the many natural attractions we have in not only Western Australia, but Australia as well. I have not travelled extensively around the world, with plenty to see in my own country.
Crikey, I could talk all day about the pleasure of being outdoors (whether it is the bush or the beach), but I will not continue. If ever you get the chance to experience "going camping" grab it, if it is in Western Australia, look me up.
I have many thoughts.
However, the most important thought when you go camping and travel is to ALWAYS think SAFETY. Don't take unnecessary risks that will put you or your companions in danger. You can still enjoy your "holiday" or life for that matter where there are enough natural risks happening anyway. IF you are with a trained guide they will lead you and sometimes challenge you, but will always have your safety in mind.
Enjoy the moment!
If you have to, make the most of an unpleasant situation and learn from the experience.
The best way to learn about me is to have a look at my website at www.crikey-adventure-tours.com where there is a lot of information about me (and my family) and also a lot of hints and tips about having a camping holiday. There is also a lot of information about caravanning and motorcycling as well.
If you are starting out on camping, check out our site for a lot of tips. (No need to try to re-invent the wheel).
