My professonal background is in Occupational Therapy, providing assessment and case management services for the frail elderly to remain independent and productively active their own homes.
My career advanced & changed direction, after receiving an M.Sc in Health (Promotion, Research & Policy Change)from Liverpool John Moores University the UK.
I now have my modified my career title for the needs of my client groups, which is an Therapeutic & Ergonomomic Health Consultant.
My skills are similar to an OT, but the perspective of treatment is through the process of empowerment. I am teaching people to use their own skills in problem-solving through a positive health perspective, rather than using the disease model of care.

I have always participated in a very active lifestyle, but I have inherited my mother and grandmother's osteo-arthritis that has created a very painful and debilitating condition in both my thumb joints. This is from many years of cycling on drop-handle bar bicycles that have damaged both thumb.
I have designed my own ergonomic handled mug for comfort, when drinking tea and coffee. I use this item to demonstrate my 2 markets:
The Ergonomic market - for people who wish to purchase safe products that protect their joints from injury.
Therapeutic market - for people with pain & discomfort in their joints that seek comfort and safety in products.
