As a long time student of the dance, I have been exposed to the magic of the ideas that could only arise from the dance experiences so well expressed by my teachers, principally June Lewis.
This exposure has led me to study more and more about how and why the body moves as it does . . .which includes the art and science of the body-mind connection.
Through NESTA (National Exercise & Sports Trainers Association)
I have gone on to become a Pilates Specialist, Bio-Mechanics Specialist and a Core Specialist, and teach privately as well as for organizations.

A FEW TESTIMONIALS
"Ettie,
Our first session was truly enlightening.
You showed me how to warm muscles I didn't know existed.
In addition, the exercises allowed me to learn a newer,
more natural way to move.
It was truly an inspirtion!"
–Miriam W., college student of nutrition
"Ettie,
How can I thank you? Your gentle guidance and careful approach
helped to restore my ability to move more easily. A basic easy
method which helps restore mobility. . .thank you for sharing
your knowledge."
–Nina M.: Appelate Court professional
"I was recovering from surgery and had been in physical therapy for some
weeks to strengthen the muscles in upper back. There was one key exercise
movement that seemed simple, but I could not master it.
When I showed Ettie Steg, she made corrections that not only enable me to do the exercise masterfully, but extended its benefit by including my shoulders, arms and hands in the movement.
I believe Ettie's ability comes from her years as a dancer. She has a special knowledge of the body that exceeds that of physical therapy. I give her my highest recommendation."

—FROM HERMAN HESSE
"The moment one commits oneself,
the providence moves too.
All sorts of things occur to help one that otherwise
would never have occurred. A whole stream of events issue
forth from the decision, raising in one's favor all manner
of unforeseen incidents and meetings and mutual assistance,
which none could have dreamt would come their way."
