Having attended the U.S. Naval Academy, Annapolis; Bethel College and Seminary, St. Paul; the Hebrew University, Jerusalem; and Luther Seminary, St. Paul; Gary was a respected youth outreach leader and graduate seminary trainer, an executive minister, short-term mission director and parish pastor. During his extensive study and work, Gary developed the integration of insights from the 12 Step Recovery Movement, Benedictine Spirituality, and Incarnational Theology into a "Covenant For Personal And Spiritual Growth." Married since 1970 with 4 kids and several grandkids, Gary is a private pilot, a personal life coach and co-founder of the "CENTERPOINT SOCIETY." Gary attributes much of his growth since 1978 to the spiritual discipline of the "Covenant" with his soul friend, Rob Linner, an executive in the convenience store sandwich industry.
