At the insane age of 17 I became pregnant with my first daughter. I had always wanted to become a teacher, but needed a way to afford daycare to go to school, without working too many hours. I found that bartending was the best way to make good deal of money while working just 1-2 days a week.
After graduating with a degree in English education, I began teaching middle school. A few years later I found that I was not happy teaching. I think I was spoiled from years of bartending. I always said, "I'd rather deal with alcoholics than adolescence."
This desire to return to the hospitality industry encouraged me to open up a bartending school to mix my talents together. I absolutely love what I do--not too many people say that!
