Hello my name is Carlo St. Juste Jr., L.Ac and I graduated in 2009 with a Masters in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from Southern California University of Health Sciences. I have over 10 years experience in general health and wellness and have personally lost over 55 pounds. In addition, I have been studying the martial arts for over six years in Kung Fu, Primarily Eagle Claw, Long Fist Wushu, and Yang Style Tai Chi Chuan on a personal and academic level. I've also studied and incorporated concepts from other martial arts styles such as boxing, aikido, grappling, and even had the privilege of studying Capoeira with a famous instructor who was featured on the history channel's Fight Science. I have also organized holistic and integrative medicine health events for fortune 500 companies, schools, government agencies, and mid-size large scale companies. Some of these well known organizations include Alcoa Fastening, Broadcom, and American Suzuki Motor Corporation.
I am motivated by making a difference in peoples lives. I cannot force you to do anything, you must take the steps towards healing yourself. In my off time you might find me hiking up Mount Lowe which extends all throughout the back of Altadena. It is the little things I've learned to appreciate.
If a clutter desk is a cluttered mind, then what's the sign of an empty one? - Albert Einstein
Every journey begins with a single footstep. - Confucious
Nobody is perfect. I'll be the first one to say that. But as long as you work hard in good faith and honestly, then really no one is to be mad at themselves. Chinese medicine teaches us about prevention and the flow of nature. That nothing is really solid or empty, nor finished or started, but a little bit in between.
My view on martial arts is that it is used for self defense and cultivating the soul. My Mixed Martial Art style of fighting is not intended to pummel an opponent in the ring for mere public glory, but rather to evolve the martial arts, to acknowledge that each art has a strenght and weakness. Martial arts is an expression of yourself, and learning from others, growing in thought, and looking at how things coordinate and come together.
