I'm Bruce Kidson and 20 years ago I had a life changing experience. I was making some redundancies and one of my employees committed suicide and left a note blaming me for taking his life as he didn’t know whether he was on the ‘redundancy list’ or not. It got thinking about the meaning of life and my purpose. Why would someone take his life because of something someone else might or might not do?
In the subsequent years I have spent over 30,000 hours reading towards 1,500 personal development books and have attended lots of courses, which in total have cost me in excess of £100,000. The trail of finding the answers has led me to being a lay leader in the Church of England to some pretty wacky and way out new age stuff; from being a multi-millionaire to being bankrupt; from being close to death on several occasions to vibrant good health; whilst enjoying great relationships.
I sought the answers to the meaning of life, my purpose, not to write this course, but because I needed to know the answer with a burning intensity. To give you an idea as to how strong this desire was, get someone to hold your head under water for three minutes and it is highly probable your only thought will be to breathe. That will give you some idea of my passion and drive for answers!
Having found the answers, I was starting to live my purpose and things were moving along well when the credit crunch happened. My bank massively reduced my overdraft(s) giving me no option but to declare myself bankrupt, which led me to lose my house and my beloved wife of 23 years who had stuck by me, not just during the good times, but when I was ill and poor. For her the bankruptcy was the final straw. So at 50 I found myself homeless, within hours of asking a brother for a patch of ground to pitch a tent and no family. I went from having a wife, three kids, a wonderful chocolate Labrador, two cats, hens, doves, guinea pigs and goldfish to living on my own.
Unsurprisingly I found this deeply traumatic; at one moment suicide was very close. The moment passed and then over the next few months I realised what an amazing opportunity I’d been given - a totally fresh start to use my knowledge and skills to create the life I truly wanted: to live a life on purpose and in joy.
I then thought that I would like my wonderful children to have the benefit of some of my very hard earned knowledge. For a number of years I had been successfully coaching a number of people on a 1 to 1 basis which they had found very helpful. So, with a desire to help more people, the Your Wealth for Life course was born.
If you'd like to experience Your Wealth For Life, it couldn't be easier.
