Mr. Childress is the President and CEO of Childress & Associates, LLC, a national legal consulting firm. Childress & Associates, LLC specializes in legal talent acquisitions, law firm mergers, and improving the overall sales performance of attorneys. His company creates strategic partnerships with attorneys, law firms and corporate law departments for the purpose of enhancing their personal and business growth within the legal community.

 

Mr. Childress has over 16 years of legal, government, integrated human resources and professional legal sales experience. After serving as SVP for firstPRO, Inc., he founded Childress & Associates, LLC, a legal search and consulting firm. He began his career with the Florida Department of Business Regulations acting as a liaison for the Department, Florida Legislature and their state wide constituents. Mr. Childress later graduated from a nationally recognized paralegal school and moved into management as an active paralegal and office manager. After graduating from law school, his focus turned toward representing corporate clients on both the state and national level in the areas of corporate and commercial litigation and corporate transactional work. In this capacity he also served as a human resources consultant for his firm's client base. Mr. Childress then took a position with Thomson/West (formerly West Group) in their sales and marketing department. He then transitioned into the legal staffing and recruiting industry where he managed the Atlanta operations of a nationally recognized company. He has extensive experience consulting with SVP/General Counsels and Partner level executives with regard to business development, marketing, talent acquisition and the subsequent development of that talent.

 Mr. Childress holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics, with a minor in Finance, from Florida State University and a Juris Doctorate degree from Ohio Northern University, The Claude W. Pettit College of Law. He also holds a paralegal degree from The National Center for Paralegal Training (ABA approved) where he specialized in civil litigation.
