Amy Torres is a Gestalt psychotherapist, interfaith minister, and yoga instructor. She teaches A Course in Miracles, which is the foundation of all her work. She has developed the Language of Love, Harmony & Beauty©, a form of emotionally responsible communication, conflict negotiation, and a way of "undoing" our identification with the ego.
Amy was led to A Course in Miracles by Paramahansa Yogananda in 1997 and received shaktipat from Jesus in 1998 (see http://facebook.com/ACIMYoga). Her spiritual counseling is guided by the Holy Spirit and used in service of the highest good for all.
Her work is a synthesis of many teachings, ancient and contemporary. The result is an intuitive method of emotional healing through body awareness which develops an integrated, empowered sense of self. This naturally leads to miracles of love, peace, purpose and joy.
She has developed the Language of Love, Harmony & Beauty©, which is a form of emotionally responsible communication, conflict negotiation, and a way of “undoing” our identification with the ego. She works with individuals, families and groups, teaching emotional intelligence and communication skills.
It was revealed to Amy that she was one of the ministers of God while working her way through Gestalt psychotherapy training (ask her to tell you the “undercover minister” story). A few years later, Reverend Torres was guided to formal ministry training as well and was ordained by One Spirit Interfaith Seminary in New York City.
