From the second we wake up, to the time we go to bed, our days are filled with choices. It is these choices that ultimately determine how our lives turn out. When we make good choices we are living enriched, fulfilling lives, and when we make bad choices, our lives are difficult and frustrating.

What are some of the daily choices we have to make?

- what time we get out of bed
- what we have for breakfast
- the clothes we wear
- how we treat the people around us
- the attitude we choose to adopt
- how we prioritize our daily activities
- how much money we earn
- the food we purchase at the grocery store
- the ideas we allow ourselves to entertain
- how much time we spend online or watching TV
- if we will indulge in that late-night snack we crave
- how much time we spend investing in ourselves and our future

All of the above choices, we make either consciously, or unconsciously. The problem is, most people give no thought when they make choices. The ones who seriously consider the choices they make, are the ones that succeed in life.

Everyone has a blank canvas to work with when they wake up. They can choose to paint a beautiful picture of happiness, health and wealth, or they can scribble a masterpiece of pain and suffering. Ultimately, you are in control of your life. You have to learn to be disciplined in your choices, if you want to achieve anything substantial.

When you see successful people, what is the first thing that you notice about them? Most likely, it is that they seem very well put together. They certainly aren’t sad, but they are not overly excited either. They have mastered who they are at the very core of their being. They have trained themselves to become disciplined in how they operate, and this discipline begins when you become more aware of the choices you make.

There are many people in this world that choose to blame everyone else for the problems they experience in their life. They don’t understand that they must choose to take responsibility for their life if they want to live a dream life. Everyone else didn’t make them broke. Everyone else didn’t make them out of shape. They chose to accept those circumstances. They chose to live life that way – consciously or unconsciously.

When you choose to take control of your life, that is when great things begin to happen. All successful people have made this choice. It is the starting point for getting to the life of your dreams. The question is – what choice will you make?
