A very important question I hear very often from clients is; “I want to know what my life purpose is. What am I meant to be doing with my life?”
Some people feel as if they have spent much of their life searching for their life purpose and still have no idea what they “should” be doing or becoming. The problem is most people look outside of themselves, for someone or something to tell them what their life purpose is. They are looking in the wrong place!
Understand that there is nothing you are necessarily “destined” to do with your life. There is no page in a book in some spiritual vault inscribed with your name, and that “thing” you are meant to be doing.
Your life purpose lives within you, deep within your inner being. Its like a seed waiting for the right conditions to sprout and grow into the unique plant that is your life purpose.
This seed of purpose was present when you were born. It was present when you were young, apparent in the things you loved to do. The things that engaged you so much when you were a child that you lost all sense of time. It is the inner state of passion and well-being engaged during these activities that offers clues to your life purpose.
Your purpose in life can take many different forms and the actual form does not really matter. Your unique self and contribution to the world can be expressed in many unique ways.
A person with the life purpose seed of an artist, may channel this into illustration, become a florist, or teach art. Your life purpose may or may not be expressed in your paid work. The physical manifestation of your life purpose is flexible and may change over time. But the actual core quality being expressed is the same, it is the unique expression of YOU in the world.
How important is it to begin your journey to open to your unique purpose? Connecting to a sense of your life purpose is crucial for feeling that you are part in the bigger scheme of things, that you matter, that you can make a difference in your unique way.
Individuals who have engaged this journey in some way are more motivated, inspired and feel more grounded in the world. In fact many people find that limiting behaviors, thoughts and moods tend to drop away and become less prominent in their noticing as connect to their deeper intention in life.
But be aware connecting to your purpose is a life long journey. It is not a task that you should attempt to quickly cross off your mental “to do list”. Do not struggle to get it all figured out. Unfolding to your life's path is a life long journey, one that begins with a single step.
Finding your life purpose is about uncovering your uniqueness and how you choose to express it in the world. Engaging with it inspires and challenges you to grow.
Make the intention that you are going to begin the journey of unfolding to your purpose, and witness the universe reach out to meet you.

For the past ten years I have been supporting others through my professional counseling and holistic therapy practice as they grow in their own self empowerment and heal. Some of my other roles include mother of two young children, wife, friend, summer and winter beach lover, and well trained owner of a dog called Puck.
I am deeply committed to working with people to enable them to embrace their fullest potential, whatever that may be. I have trained and studied extensively in the field of mind-body holistic therapy and healing.
In my early twenties I became very ill with Crohn’s disease, or IBD (Inflammatory Bowel Disease), this opened me to engage a deep and lengthy process of self enquiry and healing. The recovery from this illness was a long and powerfully transformative process, and served as a major awakening in my life.
This personal journey from sickness (on many levels) to renewed health significantly influenced my ability to embody the structures required to consciously evolve; physically, emotionally, mentally, spiritually.
As a qualified Psychosynthesis counselor I have undertaken my own therapy process with a Psychosynthesis psychotherapist during the years I was training. I continue to have an ongoing commitment to my own personal practice and spiritual evolution. I am qualified and trained in the following therapies; Psychosynthesis Counseling, EMF Balancing Technique, Pranic Healing, EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques).
