If you’re just joining us in this series of articles I have been talking about recession buster strategies for your business. Guess what; it’s true that you and your home based franchise can thrive in today’s market place, you just have to focus on the incredible opportunities that are right in front of you instead of letting the Constant Negative News (CNN) get to you.

So tell me, have you and your team in your home based franchise considered targeting, marketing and selling to people who do naturally well in recessions? There are businesses and professions out there that naturally and automatically prosper in a recessionary time. These people tend to buy and recognize that good value exists for them in these economic times.

Take a look at the products and services that you market and sell in your home based franchise. Are they products or services that would be attractive to this marketing sector? If your products and services aren’t, is there any way that you might be able to repackage them to make them more attractive to this particular group of prospects who naturally flourish in a recessionary economy?

Your challenge isn’t this recession, your challenge is for you to think a bit outside of the box. Start to get creative. There is always a different way to scale a fish (I hate the phrase skin a cat...because I have a cat and the visual is not a good one for me!) Anyway, you get the point.

Today’s market is no place for the norm in your home based franchise. What has worked for years for you may not work as profitably as it has in the past. You need to understand this and shift your marketing and sales efforts accordingly.
So, take a look to see if the products and services in your home based franchise can be marketed to the people and industries that happen to be doing naturally well in this economy.

Have fun with this marketing technique but most importantly continue to take action. Without consistent action, it really doesn’t matter if it is a good economy or bad economy; you won’t have the success that I know that you are looking for in your home based franchise.
