In America, and indeed much of the world, a trend is starting to grow in popularity. This trend is the rise of cannabis cafés.
CBD, known as being a very powerful form of pain relief which has a natural inclination to be absorbed by the human body, is something which is being infused into a variety of common foods and drinks, to then be sold in these cafés.
It’s definitely an interesting topic and one which has only grown in popularity due to the very prominent effect that CBD products can have.
Cannabis and Hemp Oil
It’s worth noting that CBD is split up into two different types of pain relief. There is the cannabis side of things, and then there is the hemp oil. In the UK, only the hemp oil is legally available for commercial sale, as cannabis has been outlawed as a drug.
The psychotropic effects of cannabis aside, it is a very powerful form of pain relief. There are many different cafés all across the world which provide products containing CBD.
Full History
It’s worth noting that both cannabis and hemp oil have been used as therapeutic aids for years now. It is only recently that modern medicine has developed and denounced any real backing in either of the two substances because of an absence of formal studies which proved the pain relief.
However, people continue to use the plant in both forms across the world for pain relief. Being capable of treating chronic pain, autoimmune diseases, depression and anxiety, as well as even preventing a lot of the symptoms of cancer, it’s no surprise that CBD has been a popular choice for many people. It’s even been suggested that Queen Victoria used to use CBD as a way to ease the pain from menstrual cramps.
THC and Normalising CBD
In the UK, it is difficult for people to talk about CBD freely. This is because a large number of people associate it directly with the illegal THC, which is part of what creates the psychotropic effect with cannabis.
However, London is home to a large quantity of hemp oil cafés, which work the substance directly into their selection of products, and it is rapidly becoming the norm for people to use hemp oil as a form of pain relief.
The normalisation of CBD as a form of pain relief will no doubt be pivotal to changing the way in which the medical industry treats patients.
Many Uses
In conclusion, CBD oil is something that has many uses for treating pain. It is widely considered to be one of the best natural maladies for a variety of common conditions; autoimmune diseases, issues caused by obesity, and even counteracting the negative effects of autism and ADHD.
However, people still have a long way to go in terms of being able to normalise talking about the oil and avoiding its negative connotations. Despite this, it is growing as a popular trend, whether it is the cannabis used in America, or the hemp-based products used here in the UK
