n the next 60-seconds, the sun will generate enough solar power to fulfill the energy needs of our entire planet for a year.

There are over 200 billion stars in the Milky Way galaxy, which is just one in hundreds of millions of galaxies.

If the water contained in the world’s oceans was poured onto the United States, it would cover the land ninety miles deep.

Look anywhere in the natural world and the realization is obvious: we live in a universe of unlimited energy and unlimited abundance. All of life is energy. Love is energy. Money is energy. Happiness is energy.

Argue for your limitations, and sure enough, they’re yours. - Richard Bach, Illusions

At this very moment, there is plenty of energy available for each of us to experience an abundance of all these things and more. The universe is so abundant, in fact, that it will deliver us a wealth of whatever we place our attention on: if we focus fiercely enough on scarcity, we have the power to create the experience of lack.

What we see when we look at the circumstances our lives is not “reality;” it’s our perception of reality filtered through the lens of our beliefs. Some beliefs place us in direct alignment with the abundance we desire; others prevent it from reaching us altogether.

If we believe that resources are scarce and that creating wealth means sacrificing a personal life, or that past hardships will prevent us from creating future happiness, these beliefs will filter out of our lives – even though they are trying ceaselessly to come in.

It’s as if we are standing the edge of a lush river, swollen and rushing with fresh water – and have only a thimble to carry it. And when, on the other hand, we firmly believe that there is more than enough of everything to go around; that we are inherently valuable and capable; and that it’s possible to make an abundance of money doing something we love, we enlarge the space within us that allows us to receive.

There are places in our lives where we’re thriving and places where we’re continually discontent; all are an outer projection of our inner beliefs. We might struggle with finances but have a wealth of friends, or feel ineffective as mothers but empowered in our careers. This is because abundance, like a river, travels along our path of least resistance. Water can’t penetrate the areas where opposing beliefs have forged a dam, so it simply goes around the rocks and takes another course.

To direct the flow of abundance to the parts of our lives where our experience is one of scarcity, constriction or fear, we need only to shift our beliefs. Focus on the areas of your life where you are already abundant, and you will attract more of the same. Remember that you looking for abundance is like a fish looking for water… you don’t have to look, for you were born of it and in it.

Acknowledge this truth, and the proverbial river will again flow unobstructed, beating a path to your front door.

About Christy
I am like a lot of people, actually: I’m in my early 40s. I’m married. I am the mother of two boys, ages two and three. I have a busy life, a household to run, and a full time job (several of them, actually ). I have lived through a divorce, my sister’s suicide, and the open heart surgery of my newborn son. I am also a New York Times bestselling author of three books, the founder of an internationally acclaimed coaching academy, and the creator of a library of personal development programs that reach over 100,000 people each month.

I am passionately in love with my husband, Frederic, who is also my business partner. I take time out every day to laugh with, talk with, and roll around on the floor with my kids. I work out regularly, get a massage every Saturday, take fantastic vacations, and have plenty of “me” time to dream, to go out with friends, or to kick back and just do nothing. Oh yeah, and I’m also making more money than I ever dreamed possible!

Just in case you’re wondering; this was not always my reality!

In fact, just fifteen years ago, I was unhappy with virtually every aspect of my life. I was thirty pounds overweight and nearly $60,000 in debt. I worked at a job I hated, and had a knack for attracting the “wrong” kind of men. I tried everything I could think of to change the circumstances of my life, believing that affecting outer change was the key to being inwardly happy. Nothing worked, and as a result, my life felt like a constant, uphill struggle.

So, how did I get from where I was then to where I am today? The answer is simple: I learned about the Universal Laws that govern deliberate creation, I applied them in my life, and I immediately began manifesting all the things I had ever wanted – spontaneously and effortlessly.

Today, my mission and passion is teaching others how to engage these universal principles – the Laws of Attraction, Abundance, and Allowing, to name a few – to attract their ideal partners, create their ideal bodies, become more empowered parents to their children, and magnetize success and abundance in every part of their lives. Through my books, seminars, coaching programs and weekly newsletters, I will show you how to manifest whatever it is you desire – not by teaching you theories, but by sharing the true-to-life turnaround moments that marked my transformation and the transformations of all those I have worked with.

I invite you to come with me on this journey of self-discovery and personal empowerment. I guarantee you will become amazed by yourself, inspired by all that you can be, do and create, and fall madly in love with yourself and your life!
