A new study has found that people who never exercise are much more likely to get this disease. The warning that some of our sedentary lifestyle is threatening our health is being ignored when we're feeling well. Not only lack of exercise is the blame; there are now strong links between the disease and a diet high in sugar and saturated fat. This can have a huge impact on delaying and preventing this disease. There is also more evidence that insulin is crucial in helping brain cells, low levels affects the functions of memory. People with type 2 diabetes are three times higher at risk of developing Alzheimer's. It been projected that in the next twenty years Alzheimer's will affect one in every four people; this would even be higher than obesity and diabetes is today.
