“Want, dream, intend, desire with all your might, it is what you came here to do!” Lynn Grabhorn

Setting an intention is POWERFUL.

You can actually feel the difference when you say, “I intend” rather than I hope, want, or wish to do something. Intend just hits the nail on the head. It tells the Universe, you ain’t foolin’ around There is no doubt. When you INTEND SOMETHING, you KNOW YOU ARE GOING TO GET IT…some way or somehow.

When I begin a coaching session I ask my clients, what is the intention they’d like to set before they begin. How would they like to feel when we’ve completed the hour. Some might say…they need clarity, relief, direction, to feel energized, etc..

After an hour on the phone or Skype I’ll ask them, “So, what are you walking away with today?” Their answer is 9 times out of 10 what they set as the intention. They’ll say something like, “I’m feeling relief, I feel excited, I can’t wait to get started, etc..”

I’m currently coaching a talented couple (Sid and Marco) in NYC who are running their own Music Production company. In their last session, I asked them, “What are you walking away with today?” They said, “We walking away with peace of mind, knowledge…What we are doing feels good. We’re building up structure for our business!” When you know what you want and you are focused on it, it’s that much easier for it to manifest.

PLAY COACH!
Now, even if you don’t have a coach, you can play coach on yourself daily by setting your intentions for each day. When you put it in writing, it truly helps seal the deal with your soul. You’ll be focused on making things happen. Even if you have a rough day, you’ll check in with yourself more. You can gain your power back when you set your intentions even throughout the day. Remember, you are the one in the driver’s seat.

TRY IT…
Make your powerful statement of intention right now! Grab a piece of paper and write down how you want to feel today. Just try ONE example or make up your own.

I.e:
Today I intend to have a powerful and productive day by accomplishing….
I intend to be calm, relaxed, and stress free today.
I intend to stay focused on …..
I intend to welcome in positive thoughts that serve me…
I intend to accomplish these 3 major things today…
Well…you get my drift

Four Intentional Steps: (healing.about.com)

1. Get clear about something you want and write it down.
2. Share your intention with someone in a way that will supportively hold you accountable to taking action.
3. Do something today to demonstrate your commitment to your intention.
4. Acknowledge that you did what you said you would and then, take the next step.
By setting an intention, you make it clear to yourself and others, just what you plan to do. Set an intention to redefine what it means to be serious about your dreams.

WANT TO DO MORE?
Write down three things you want to intend for today. Think about how you want to feel and also what you want to accomplish. Even better, get into the ‘feeling’ of excitement, joy, and accomplishment when you jot these things down. Raising your vibration is the icing on the cake. When you set an intention, it solidifies your wants and desires.

Of course, the big key is to take action to make it happen!
Make it a wonderful day! At the end of the day, ask yourself, “What am I walking away with?” How did it turn out? You may be in for a pleasant surprise.
