Weed cookies are a great way to get high if you don’t like to smoke pot. It also produces a more intense and lasting high. To make your own batch of these delicious marijuana cookies, you’ll have to make cannabis infused butter, more popularly known as cannabutter. You can use cannabutter as a replacement for butter in your favorite cookie recipe, or make weed chocolate chip cookies.

How to Make Cannabutter for Weed Cookies

● ½ ounce marijuana
● 2 sticks unsalted butter
● 1 cup hot water

1. Set up your double broiler to melt 2 sticks of unsalted butter under low to medium heat. Allow the water to heat up and its steam to slowly melt the butter.

2. While the butter is melting, prepare the marijuana by grounding ½ ounce of marijuana, removing its stems and seeds. Fold a cheese cloth in half twice and place the ground marijuana in the center of the cheese cloth.

3. Put the marijuana tea bag into the melted butter, ensuring that it fits into the bowl. If you have to, push it down with a spoon so it’s completely saturated with the butter.

4. Add 1 cup of hot water to the double broiler with the butter and marijuana tea bag. This will cover the marijuana with liquid and help release the plant’s THC.

5. Cover the bowl and allow the marijuana to steep in the water and butter for 4 to 6 hours. Remember that the longer you leave the marijuana in the bowl, the more potent the resulting cannabutter will be.

6. When the steeping process is done, you’ll notice that the butter will now have a green-ish color. Remove it from the heat and allow the butter to cool down to room temperature.

7. Once the butter cools down to room temperature, it will be back to its solid form. The water that you added early on will be at the bottom of the bowl. Drain away the water.
