It can happen in a moment--a matter of seconds, or a few minutes at most. Something shifts within you & the mind stops. No more voices in the head, no more rambling thoughts, no more questions, no more self-doubt, no judgments, no involuntary or un-invited thoughts, just quietness & peace.

There is a connection with all intelligence & love, and an awareness of being one with and part of the entire vastness of being, yet retaining awareness of individuality--individuality but no separation.

There is a sense of freedom, lightness, and openness, and sometimes euphoria & bliss. There is definitely peace. What troubled you in the past seems distant and unreal. You may think that you have transcended the physical, and in some ways have, yet the need of the physical must be dealt with and cannot be ignored. You feel that you will experience life in a whole new way -- with new eyes, feelings and awareness. It’s like starting life over.

There is an automatic awareness of being present in the moment--in the now. You no longer have to work at being present. Not that it has fully blossomed but it is now automatically unfolding without effort. Your awareness is an outgrowth of the new being that you have become. You realize that the enlightenment event is like a new birth--a new beginning from which far greater growth is possible than what was understood or imagined before.

I would like to take this opportunity to remind everyone that we are a part of a bigger picture. We are part of a global awareness that human beings are evolving to another level of enlightenment. We have the right to ask ourselves how & not be attached to the outcome. If we are afraid to fail then we are afraid to win. Our belief is “the only failure, is the failure to participate.”

So many of us are afraid we will make a mistake. Many of us were taught this concept subconsiously at a young age. We were told things like, “Be careful”, “Don’t talk to strangers”, “Girls are seen and not heard”, “Boys don’t cry”, “Stop acting silly”, “Don’t rock the boat”, “Be a good boy or girl or you will burn in hell!”. We are very impressionalble at these early developmental stages and we start believing things that may not serve us. These belief systems keep us from standing out and taking risks. We are afraid of being seen and heard. Therefore, we decide to hide and not be ourselves and learn what others want us to be so we can seek and gain their approval.

Being an authentic you can be nothing more than holding your shape among any outside forces or distractions that may try to sway you. Factors that can limit you being an authentic you are: FEAR of rejection, FEAR of not belonging, FEAR of not being good enough, FEAR of judgement, FEAR of not being loved. FEAR, FEAR, FEAR. “False Evidence Apppearing Real!”

We gather evidence to support our belief systems about what is real & what is not real. When a child is crying in the middle of the night, “Help, Help! There is a monster under the bed!”, there isn’t a real monster under the bed. But to the child, it is very real. It takes the mommy telling the child to look under the bed and showing him or her there is nothin there. In other words, the child had been given new evidence to support another belief system. We will keep the same belief systems and belief that is real until we are given new evidence to the contrary. For example, have you ever done anything you were afraid of? Then after you did it, you realized that it wasn’t as scary as you thought. We gather new evidence to support that we are truly powerful and good enough, being our authentic, enlightened selves.
