It has been said that the answers are within and that ‘who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes’ (Carl Jung). Based on this, it could be said that there is a lot going on internally.
Therefore, if someone is connected to their inner world, they will have access to their truth and they will be awake. With this in mind, in order for someone to live a life that reflects who they are and to be a conscious human being, they will need to have a strong connection to their inner world.
The Ideal
Although the answers that they need are not going to be outside, this doesn’t mean that external sources of information are of no use. However, although the information that can be found externally can be of use, it can’t replace the guidance that is inside them.
Also, having a good connection with their inner world will stop them from getting too caught up in what is taking place externally. They will be able to experience the external world but they generally won’t be completely caught up in it.
Back To Reality
Now, while experiencing life in this way could be seen as the ideal, it is not how everyone experiences life. In fact, it could be said that very few people experience life in this way.
When someone doesn’t experience life in this way, they can believe that all the answers are to be found externally and they can be completely caught up in the external world. Someone like this could be described as being self-alienated.
Dependent
Due to this, it will be perfectly normal for them to look ‘out there’ for answers and to be caught up in the world that they experience with their five senses. So even if one is not sleep and having dreams, they are still going to be caught up in an illusion.
As a result of this, it won’t be hard for other people to define what they believe and how they see the world. Through being out of touch with themselves, they will have given their power away to outside sources.
One Outlook
It would be easy to say that people like this are just asleep and that all there is to it. Some people are then in tune with themselves and are not caught up in the physical world, while there are others that aren’t.
Nonetheless, what his view would presuppose is that the world just happens to be this way and that there is nothing going on behind the scenes to make it this way. Yet, even a cursory look at what is taking place in the world would show that this is not the case.
A Deeper Look
At the same time, if someone is completely plugged into ‘the matrix’, they probably won’t notice anything. Thanks to how long they have experienced life in this way for and how immersed they are in the external world, it might not even stand out.
When they were small, their parents and the education system would have told them what to do and, as time passed, the media and other authority figures would have taken over. There would then have been no reason for them to tune into the information that is inside them.
All-Consuming
And now, with the help of a Smartphone, someone like this can download what is taking place out there at all times. Thus, unless they are asleep, the there is no need for them to be oblivious to what is taking place.
In a way, it is as though one no longer needs to use their own brain as other people will tell them everything. Regardless of whether it relates to how they should live their own life or what is going on in the world, the experts out there will be on hand to tell them.
One Part
One way, then, that someone will lose touch with their inner guidance, is through being put through an education system that doesn’t encourage them to look within. Of course, their caregivers will play a part in this too.
Another part of this will be the effect that the media has on making them believe that what is taking place around them is real, and that they need to buy into it. With these things alone, one can be totally out of touch with themselves by the time they are an adult.
Another Part
It doesn’t end there as there is also the impact that trauma may have had on their ability to connect to themselves. One thing that the mainstream media does is provide an endless stream of negative events.
Every day, it is as if the world is going to end, and this can help to keep someone in a highly stressed state. Consequently, they can be too anxious and fearful to be in their body, which will most likely make them look outside for answers.
Out of Their Hands
The people behind the scenes, the establishment, are then going to be the ones that tell someone how to live their life. With the help of the education system, the media, technology, authority figures and celebrities, the answers will be presented as being ‘out there’.
It then won’t matter if one is religious or not, as they will see certain human beings as gods and goddesses – people that are all-knowing and all-powerful. These people will be mouth pieces for those that are not seen but who have a big influence on so many people.
Why?
The question is: why would the people behind the scenes want people to be out of touch with themselves and to be dependent on others? And, why would they want them to be caught up in the external world?
Undoubtedly, if someone is out of touch with themselves, it is going to be a lot easier to manipulate them. They won’t know what is true and what isn’t, which can cause them to accept most of the lies that the system comes out with.
The Perfect Scenario
Someone like this will go along with just about whatever they are told and they are unlikely to put up any resistance – the perfect citizen. They will be an adult, yet they will see certain people as in the public eye as parental figures.
What this can show is that the people behind the scenes are completely out of touch with their own essence and that they have a superiority complex. Through being dead on the inside and deluded at the same time, they need to take energy from others and to control them at all times.
An Important Role
Another way of looking at it would be to say that they are parasites; they have to live off the energy of others. Without their energy source, they would die or go madder than they are already.
As for keeping people caught up in the dramas of the external world, this allows the people behind the scenes to achieve their goals. If people didn’t buy into all these dramas – whether that relates to the endless warmongering or trying to get people to fight each other simply because they are part of a different religion or have different colour skin - it wouldn’t be possible for their plans to come into fruition and the game would soon be over.
Conclusion
Ultimately, no god or goddess exists ‘out there’; what is out there is nothing but an illusion. Nevertheless, if someone is out of touch with themselves and is totally consumed by the external world, they can end up being duped.
If someone experiences life in this way, and they want to change, it will be essential for them to get back in touch with themselves and to no longer be so caught up in the external world. This is a process, not something that will happen overnight but it will be worth it in the long run.
