There is one player in the world of sports that I am very inspired by and recommend emulating his work ethic. Roger Federer’s loss to Nadal during his sixth consecutive Wimbledon Finals was an epic encounter and a painful loss. He however came back strongly from his defeat to win an Olympic Gold and the US Open over the next few months. When interviewed he said “The more I play, and the more opportunities I give myself, the more Grand Slams I will win.” These comments give the person's mindset on winning - his work ethic, his self-belief and his mastery over the art of winning and his humility to admit that he is still learning and improving with every game.

Now, consider for a moment, if we had to use the above analogy, and identify specific traits that was required to win a competitive game - a game that we all play day in and day out - the game called life- then what would that be? My findings and breakthroughs have helped me to identify seven such traits.

1. Intention: Know what your aim and object in life is. What's the purpose, the grand plan, the mission? Why do you want to do it? Intention is powerful than the will. Meditating and tapping the field of pure potentiality through visualizations and affirmations is the key to manifestation of our desires and goals.

2. Energy levels:We are what we eat, health is in fact wealth. A healthy mind and body with high energy levels provides the fuel to keep on going. All the greatest leaders of our times and past have had one trait that can be identified as a pattern: High energy levels. Is correlated to our diet, the way we breathe, the cardio and resistance training exercises.

3. Anticipation:Knowing where we want to go, and getting fueled up is one part of the equation, but anticipating the roadblocks along the way, and having a flexible mindset using an outcome based thinking approach is the key to making rapid progress

4. Enrollment: Enrollment is causing a possibility to be present for another such that they are touched, moved and inspired by that possibility. Registration is the natural by product of enrollment. Enrollment in other words is engagement, the ability to inspire others through your words, using vivid imaging and masterful stories. The art of selling ideas leads to selling products and services. Listening and communication falls in this realm.

5. Causing Breakthroughs on demand: Unleashing our natural ability, to cause breakthroughs on demand. The key is to come from a possibility driven approach. Asking quality questions leads to quality answers. What else could it mean? What is an empowering context I can come from? What could be an alternate reality? What else can I make it mean? How can I transcend this breakdown? What would be really outrageous? World class leaders have an uncanny ability to bounce back from a setback. They use a setback to make a massive comeback.

These top traits will make you a world-class individual, a leader. However, if the desire is to go beyond self-actualization and reach self-transcendence then there are two traits that will take you to a whole new level:

6. Unlimited Generosity: The purpose of fame, power, and wealth is not to flaunt it. The purpose is to stand up for the people who do not have it. Leaving a legacy behind, a mark in the world as a role model for the next generations, passing on the torch and paying it forward is the goal here

7. Gratitude: Be in a perpetual state of gratitude, and know that there is a higher power working through us, who has a divine plan for us. We are only mere mortals and an instrument in his hand. Being thankful for what we already have, makes way for things we do not have and desire in our lives.

Become a Roger, and leave your own mark. Use the gifts you have been given. If you were given the gift to be an engineer - be the best engineer, if it was meant to be a doctor - make your profession proud, if you were meant to be a janitor - sweep the floors that even Gods would stop and take notice. Be the best you can be.

Live an extraordinary Life! Leave a Legacy!
