Confidence is an inside job. You've got to have confidence to achieve anything. And by the way, confidence makes you feel powerful yourself, but that message is communicated to others, too. Confidence is the greatest trait of a leader. Confidence makes people popular; confidence makes others want to help.
On the other hand, when there's a lack of self confidence—well, who wants to follow a leader like that? Who wants to help someone when they're not even sure that they'll follow through?
Confidence. So how do you get it? We talk about meditation, which is a focus thing. We talk about focusing and having your goals, knowing what you're going for. And then we talk about affirmations.
I'll share a few affirmations that I've put together that have, indeed, helped me, and I'll give you a few comments. And I invite you to use them, take them, adopt and adapt them, however you want. Neural association is what you're wanting to do.
One of them is, "If anybody can do it, I can do it.” “If anybody can do it, I can do it." Business success, growing a business, you name it.
"By knowledge transduced into strategy and action, I drive the cutting edge to consummate success.” “By knowledge transduced into strategy and action, I drive the cutting edge to consummate success."
By knowledge, what you're pursuing right now. Success requires three things—mindset, strategy, and action. In this little affirmation we're calling mindset knowledge, because you learn to acquire that mindset, and then you learn to direct it. Mindset, strategy and action. You have to follow through with the action component.
"Transduced" means changed from one form to another. You see, you take knowledge. Knowledge is not power. Knowledge won't do it alone. But knowledge is enough to get you moving so you can transduce it into strategy—that is, how you're going to do it.
And as for action…”you drive the cutting edge”. In other words, you can be a leader. You're not a follower but a leader—to outstanding success, consummate success.
“Earning money, fame, and success in the metaphysical field, I spend all my time studying, actuating, and exploring the mystic state.” You see, my job is fun for me. The subject that I teach and empower others with is the same thing I do for me.
It's adapted to your system. I'm not saying, by the way, that you need to study in the mystical or metaphysical field. This is my stuff, right? But I'm saying to use it as an idea or a framework to craft your own affirmations.
And as for presupposition, listen to this one. "Earning money, fame, and success in the metaphysical field…" Well, for me, today, that's a fact. But for decades of my life it wasn't. For decades of my life, I spent a lot of time preparing. For decades of my life, I read the holy literature, the sacred literature of many cultures. I read the mythic stories.
I've read romantic poetry so that I would have the experience. I've traveled the world, circled the globe numerous times. I've done dozens and dozens of jobs, all the way from the 32nd floor in a high-rise, downtown Denver skyscraper, to way out in isolated oil patches, where the pumping rig and the drilling rig work. I've hitchhiked from one coast to the other.
I've done the wheat harvest, seen Mt. Rushmore.
Experience, presuppositions, earning money, fame and success.
Code presuppositions into your affirmation, and it'll come true. You'll be amazed one day when you wake up and realize it's true.
I spend all my time studying, actuating, and exploring the mystic state. Right now, right as I write, I am actuating, exploring, that mystic state of human potential.
Hey, I made my passion my job. Now, when I'm doing my job, my job's not very, very challenging. It always, of course, challenges my abilities, and I want to stay tough. I want to deliver the very best, but there is nothing in the world I would rather be doing, or that I can benefit others more by, than doing what I'm doing.
This is all about you!
Create your affirmations, set up these presuppositions, and put yourself in the place that you want to be. And keep these things written on a note card, with you all the time. Put your hand in your pocket, and POW, you can go with it.
Here's another one I use all the time, and you should too. Again, this stuff becomes second nature. "I can handle it. There are no problems, there are challenges."
Something happened? I can handle it. Are there delays? I can handle it. Do we need to do some repairs? I can handle it. Do we get a disappointment? I can handle it. Do we need another piece of instruction, another piece of equipment to do what we want to do? I can handle it. Have we had a setback? I can handle it. Have we lost money in an investment? I can handle it, I can handle it.
Or this one—"Feel the fear and do it anyway." Transmute the feelings of fear. Re-define them into energy, the energy of moving on your goals and dreams! "Fear is energy. I harness that energy to accomplish my dreams.” “Fear is energy. I harness that energy to accomplish my dreams."
"I canter over the challenges I encounter, like Lancelot and Tristan." Cantering is a horse's gait. It's not running mad, all out, and it's not stopped. It's not fighting, it's just getting along, getting over it. "I canter over the challenges I encounter, like Lancelot and Tristan."
Use these examples to make your own affirmations.
