What are you thinking? Do you ever stop and ask yourself that question. Thoughts are things and they manifest themselves in our everyday life. The Bible says “they will be known by their fruits,” good thoughts bring forth good fruit (positive attitude, happiness, success, etc…) bad thoughts bring forth bad fruit (negative attitude, anger, failure, etc…). There is no escaping that fact.

No one knows exactly how this works or why, but our brains become magnetized with the dominating thoughts which we hold in our minds and by means which no man is familiar these magnets attract to us the forces the people the circumstances of life which harmonize with the nature of our dominating thoughts.

Take control of your thoughts. You do not have to entertain every thought that comes into your head. If a bad thought comes into your head replace it with a good thought. It may be a little difficult at first, but with practice you will see that you can control your thoughts.

Another thing you can do is stop hanging around negative people. Believe it or not our brains are sending and receiving centers. We send out thought waves and we pick up thought waves. Have you ever entered a room after someone has just had an argument? You feel it, the atmosphere is crackling with negativity, your brain picks up on it no one has to tell you, you just know. Hanging around the wrong crowd will get you doing wrong things.

That is why you want to hang around and emulate positive and successful people. Find a mentor let them guide you into a better life and success. The quickest way to become successful is to follow the path someone has already taken. You do not have to re-invent the wheel there are plans already in place.

When you first embark upon any endeavor it may seem a little scary to you and you may start to think fearful thoughts, but don’t let that stop you. Do what you fear and the death of fear is certain. Henry Van Dyke said, “Courage is the standing army of the soul which keeps it from conquest, pillage, and slavery.” You overcome your fears by action. When you take action you will see that with each step your confidence will grow and grow. You will find that your fears have become a thing of the past.

Where you are in life right now and where you will end up in life will be from the thoughts you hold in your mind and the decisions you make from those thoughts. You can only hold one thought in your mind at a time, so keep it constructive and positive. Don’t let your thoughts just flounder. Direct your thoughts control your emotions and ordain your destiny.
