When you jump into your day unconsciously, most of your energy is used reacting to what happens “to you.” This constant reacting is draining and can soon lead to burnout. On the other hand, when you set an intention at the beginning of each day, you are consciously focusing your thoughts towards a desired direction….intentionally. By setting your intention daily you take action that can prove to be a powerful tool in creating a day that makes you feel good about your life, your self-esteem, your interactions with others, your sales etc.

As soon as you wake up, maybe when the alarm goes off but you’re not quite awake, or maybe when you are in the shower, begin to think about your day ahead. Here are some questions that can be helpful:
How will your energy be today?
What’s your mood?
How are you in your body?
What are your food choices?

Imagine your energy flowing evenly and balanced throughout the day. You feel good in your body and clothes. When you’re hungry you choose food that recharges and refreshes you. Imagine your commute to work as a cool, easy ride with the perfect flow of traffic, great music on the radio and your arrival on time.

What appointments are on your calendar?
What are your expectations of the day?
What’s on you schedule?
If you are in sales, how are your sales flowing today?
How will your important meeting flow?

You can set your intention every day, and throughout the day. If you are not able to visualize try journaling. If you can’t journal, speak your intentions out loud. Use the power of intention to imagine your day!
