Supplement Your Diet with The Closest Thing
to the Actual Fruits and Vegetables with Juice Plus+®
One of the easiest ways you can help your own effort to lose weight and get healthy is through the use of supplementation. A supplement shouldn't be some concentrated megadose vitamin that doesn't have the all of the other nutrients that exists in the fruit or vegetable. No, a supplement should be "that which is closest to the actual content of the food." The one I recommend is Juice Plus+, because it contains nutrients from 8 different vegetables and 7 different fruits, along with 2 grains.
For years it has been difficult to avoid offering supplements of some sort - after all, everyone wants to take them. But optimally, the only supplements that should be taken are ones that fits many criteria, which up until now we have been unable to find. Some may fit many, but just about every supplement doesn't fit all of the necessary criteria.
So what are the criteria and is there a supplement that could possibly match all the criteria? If you could find the same ingredients in a meal-replacement shake, you would certainly benefit from that, too! You could then get a small meal with plenty of nutrition during those busy and hectic days.

Answer these Important Questions:
*Do you or your children get sick all the time?
*Do you frequently feel tired and run-down?
*Is there a family history of cancer?
*Is there a family history of heart disease?
*Are you missing 7-13 fruits and vegetables daily?
If the answer to any of these is yes, then you need to get more fruits and vegetables for you and your family. For many years the National Institute of Health, the American Cancer Society, the American Medical Association, and every other national health association has emphasized the importance of eating five servings of raw fruits and vegetables every day.
The health benefits are numerous, including:
*Protection against cancer
*Stronger immune system
*Prevention of chronic illness
*Protection against heart disease
*Slows down the effects of aging
These benefits are not only due to vitamins and minerals, but also from the active enzymes, antioxidants, phytonutrients and fiber contained within the raw fruits and vegetables. There are many more potential benefits of these nutrients such as improved intellectual function, better eyesight and increased energy level. In short, our bodies simply function more efficiently and more optimally.
One very important factor about fruits and vegetables that is often neglected by Americans is that they need to be eaten raw. Heat destroys the enzymes, fiber, and other active nutrients present in raw foods. In order to receive all the benefits of fruits and vegetables we need to eat them fresh and uncooked.
How many of us actually eat 7-13 servings of raw fruits and vegetables every day?
Most Americans may eat an orange with breakfast and maybe an apple with lunch. We are pretty good at making sure we finish our one or two cooked vegetables at dinnertime. However, virtually all of us fall far short of the quantity of raw fruits and vegetables required to protect us from cancer, chronic disease, infection, high cholesterol and heart disease. Very few of us are receiving the nutrition required to help our bodies run smoothly and efficiently and to maximize our potential for a healthy life. For our children, the active nutrients in fruits and vegetables can maximize the physical and intellectual development of our children as they grow through the school-age years.
What is the best kind of supplement?
The best kind of supplement is one that has more than just the vitamins and minerals. It needs to be the closest you can get to the whole food. If you could take the juice from fruits like apples, oranges, pineapples, cranberries, peaches, cherries, papayas, dates and prunes, plus take all of the phytonutrients that are in those fruits instead of just the vitamins that have been created in a laboratory (synthetic), you would be getting much, much more nutritional value that the body needs. If you could juice a healthy supplement from vegetables like carrots, barley, parsley, beets, kale, broccoli, cabbage, oats, spinach, tomatoes, plus have all of the phytonutrients that naturally occurs in the vegetables, then the same would be true!
If you could make the ideal health supplement, what might you do?
If you could make a healthy supplement, you would want to juice the fresh fruits and vegetables and then dehydrated to a powder form. Plus you would want to test for pesticides or other contaminants in the product. You also wouldn't want to expose the juice at any point to high temperatures that would destroy the nutritional content - the vitamins, minerals, active plant enzymes, phytonutrients, and antioxidants. Plus you would want as much of the original plant content as you could get. And ideally, you would want to take the final powder with water and get all of the absorption into your body just as if you were eating the fruits and vegetables.
Can a supplement be as good as eating fruits and vegetables?
There's no complete substitute for eating the real thing. But how many people actually eat such a wide variety of raw fruits, vegetables and grains every single day? If you could get a healthy food supplement that contains most of the healthy nutrition in many fruits and vegetables and you could do it by taking the juice from those fruits and vegetables plus retaining the phytonutrients that are just as important to the body's needs, wouldn't that help ensure that you and your family get what you need? It sure would be great to get all the benefits of adding more fresh fruits and vegetables to your diet. You just might be preventing cancer and other illnesses by supporting a stronger immune system which would help protect against disease and aging, plus supporting a healthier heart and lower cholesterol.
We already take Vitamins, do we need anything else?
You really don't want to be taking a vitamin supplement. There are studies that conclude that Vitamins alone are probably increasing your risk of certain health problems. Those are "man-made" and if you are just getting more fruits and vegetables or something that most closely matches it, then you don't have to worry about any side effects. Manufactured vitamins are "dead" vitamins. They are not in their natural form, and are therefore not very well absorbed into your system. The vitamins and nutrients in a healthy supplement should all be absorbed into the body.
Supplement your diet with Juice Plus+, and get nutrients from a variety of whole food fruits and vegetables. You can also find a Juice Plus+ Vineyard Blend which contains nutrients from 9 different grapes and berries. Just another way to get more nutrition and antioxidants to support your good health!

How would you make a healthy supplement if you could do it?
1. First, you would be sure to strictly follow the guidelines of the USDA.
2. Then, to ensure the highest quality, you would want to choose well-matured fruits and vegetables.
3. Also, you would want to be sure that there is a high standard for the quality of fruits and vegetables chosen no matter where they come from.
4. You would want your fruits and vegetables to be carefully washed to kill yeast, mold and bacteria that are always present on fruits and vegetables and any remaining pesticide and herbicide residues .
5. Then you would want to rinse the oxidizing solution. All of these steps you would want to do at low temperatures and in an oxygen-free atmosphere to maintain the quality of the nutritional content.
6. You would want to test the powder for moisture content, bacteria, yeast, and mold, while rejecting any batch that does not meet specific safety criteria.
9. You would finally want to carefully review each batch including raw material certificates of analysis, origination documents and laboratory analysis to ensure that the product is safe, efficacious and meets all Quality Assurance standards.
