Lots of people want to increase the level of their self-esteem. Why? Well, there are different answers to that: to feel more confident, more secure, more alive even. But notice something: self-esteem has almost everything to do with feelings.

Before you can use techniques to enhance self-esteem, first you need to understand what self-esteem means, and then relate to what causes you to have poor self-worth for example. This will help you find quality techniques that will help you boost your self-individuality.

Then you must realize that there is good and bad self-worth, or self-esteem. For instance, if someone has an egotistical attitude, this is a superficial self-worth rather than healthy self-esteem. You want to build healthy self-respect, or self-confidence.

Self-esteem is your self-worth. This is how you perceive yourself and how you feel about who you are as an individual. If you perceive yourself as a successful person and feel that you deserve to be successful, then you have a good sense of your self-worth. On the other hand, if you feel you are a failure, then you will need to learn techniques to enhance your self-esteem.

Self-esteem is also your sense of worth, your feelings of worth. You want to know this, because you will need to use your senses in techniques to enhance your self-esteem. When you can sense areas that are hindering your self-confidence, you can see clearly the problem, which you can then move to eliminate the complex issue that is dragging you down.

Now that you know what self-esteem is and that it mainly involve your feelings, do this little exercise and answer these 3 questions: put your hand on your forehead and answer: “Intellectually, on a scale from 1 to 10, 1 being the lowest, what is my level of self esteem?”

Do the same thing with your hand on your heart and say “Emotionally, on a scale from 1 to 10, what is my level of self esteem?”

Lastly, put your hand on your stomach and say “Instinctively, on a scale from 1 to 10, what is my level of self esteem?”

Write your answer down. You’re now ready to use techniques for building self esteem and transform your 1,2,3 or 4 into 7,8,9 or10.
