Building a business is a fantastic and challenging experience. You can wake up motivated and excited to begin your day and go to bed feeling overwhelmed and frustrated. One of the main keys to success is to maintain a balanced mindset.

Easier said than done, right? There are ways in which you can make your days
flow so much easier and have little to no overwhelm! It’s really about CHOICE.

I discovered 5 ways to create and sustain a positive mindset so you attain the
success you desire.

1. Surround yourself with successful and positive people. The influence people
have over our own personal energy is amazing. Moods and attitudes are so easily
spread – think about how much of a difference a simple smile from a stranger can
make for your day and then magnify it 1000 times to demonstrate the power of being positive. When you have people around you who inspire you, believe in you and want
you to succeed, it doesn’t leave much room for doubts and even when they creep in,
you can quickly sweep away.

2. Create a mantra or an affirmation. Repeating positive affirmations has been shown
to get people through challenging times and to actually help them truly believe what they’re saying……

“I am building a powerful and profitable business.” Many of the most esteemed business professionals have used affirmation strategies to help them attain their success.

For example, if you write that you’re always feeling disorganized then the positive affirmation would be, “I am organized and in control.” Repeat your affirmations several times a day. It’s even more powerful if you write them.

3. Capture negative thoughts. We all have negative thoughts from time to time,
however, negative thoughts and emotions can derail us on our way to the success we want. Of course catching those negative thoughts takes practice and persistence. When you find yourself thinking negative thoughts or having negative emotions, find a trigger to turn them around. If you’re sitting stand up, move away and think a positive thought instead. If you’re standing when you have the negative thought, just move. Or, you can use a word like popcorn to break the state or anything that feels comfortable to you. It’s just a matter of interrupting the negative so you can think differently. Decide
in advance how you are going to do this so it becomes a new habit.

4. Set goals/intentions and then be willing to let it go. The law of attraction says that
we attract what we focus on the most. However, desperation, needing your business to be a success, making it all about money, sends mixed messages and a lot of negativity into the universe. Set your goals and intentions and then let them go. A certain amount of faith and confidence in your-self and in the power of the Universe is necessary.

5. Gratitude is perhaps the single most powerful and positive tool for success. When you’re grateful for all of the wonderful things and people in your life the challenges you may face seem significantly less important and are more easily dealt with.

Consider keeping a gratitude journal and make a practice of writing a couple of things you’re grateful for each day. That way, when you’re facing challenges a quick peek at all the amazing things in your life will make you feel as if you can tackle anything.

You are a brilliant unique person and have the ability and creativity to be successful. Think BIG and remember, you can do all these things but it won’t happen on it’s own.

You need to take the right kind of action, have the right kind of support and also the right kind of mindset. If you don’t find yourself moving forward, it’s also very much about being honest with yourself about what might be going on in your subconscious, don’t allow that little ‘gremlin’ in your head to sabotage your success!
